'Call The Midwife' Actors Were Crying During Rehearsal Of Upcoming Episode

On Sunday, Radio Times posted an interview with actress Laura Main (Shelagh) who mentioned what lies ahead for her character's love life. There is going to be some positive stuff to look forward to, but what would the British drama be without a little difficulty?

New Character Will Experience 'Tragic Moments' On 'Call The Midwife'

"In the land of Call the Midwife it's not always plain sailing," the actress added. "There is a challenge that we've seen before and it comes back. Around about the middle of the series things are challenging for them."

As the actress leaves insight on what could possibly be a challenge for this couple, she dished on how glad she is that fans are rooting for them on social media.

"I do dip a toe into Tumblr-land," Main said. "They are all super nice and just love the show."

"[The fans] seem to really care about the two of them. They are very supportive and very encouraging," the actress continued. "I guess this is my way of saying I really appreciate the way they've taken to the characters. They are lovely- love them!"

Call the Midwife Season 4 is expected to air this spring on PBS.
