While filling in for the absent Craig Ferguson on The Late Late Show, Mayer, who has yet to confirm his relationship with Perry, further hinted at their reconciliation when he welcomed her two sharks to the show.
"You probably saw my first guests perform during Katy Perry's Super Bowl XLIX halftime show, now the most watched show in history. Please welcome, the Super Bowl halftime sharks!" Mayer announced to viewers, according to a report by Us Weekly on Thursday.

The two sharks made their Super Bowl debut alongside Perry during Sunday night's halftime show, which Mayer attended.
After welcoming a third guest, Bravo's Andy Cohen, Mayer revealed his thoughts on Perry's Super Bowl performance.
"It was unbelievable," Mayer said. "And I think the whole thing about the sharks, everybody wants to talk about the sharks because it’s just something everyone can grab onto because not everyone feels comfortable walking around saying that Katy Perry was amazing... She made the Internet a kind and gentle place for a day. It was awesome."
