The petition for a third season of Witches of East End is continuing to gain thousands of signatures leaving the question if it will eventually reach its new goal.

Is There Any Hope For A 'Witches Of East End' Renewal?

The online petition is currently at a goal of 130,000 signatures. As of Thursday, Feb. 5, there are more than 116,000. Even though it might seem like it would take a while for more people to sign this, the good news is that last Saturday, Jan. 31, there were 112,000 signatures.

With an extra 4,000 signatures in less than a week, that shows a lot of determination from the fans. If the petition continues to do this well, then perhaps 130,000 could happen in a approximately a couple weeks.

Is 'Witches Of East End' Coming To Netflix?

However though, even if the petition does reach its new goal, that doesn't necessarily guarantee anything. There have been other goals on the petition before and yet there is still no word of a renewal. But it would definitely be a good sign.

In a previous interview with EnStars, Madchen Amick (Wendy) mentioned that one of the reasons why the show didn't last was because not enough people were watching it so there isn't enough money to keep it going.

"People just don't sit down and watch shows live anymore. They DVR it, they stream it, they watch it on Netflix or iTunes," the actress said. "It's just unfortunate that a network only makes their profit off of live viewership because their hands are tied by advertisers. They may believe in the show and want it to continue, but they just unfortunately can't afford it."
