Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds Relationship Recap: From Dating To The Wedding
Following his Olympic wins, American swimmer Ryan Lochte admitted to having a crush on Blake Lively, 25, but by that time she was already smitten by Ryan Reynolds, 35.
The couple's relationship went public in October 2011, soon after Reynolds divorced Scarlett Johansson.
They did not hide their relationship from the camera at all. At his "Green Lantern" premiere, Reynolds posed with Lively in many photos, after calling it quits with his first wife after two years of marriage. Though they did star in the film together, there did seem to be an added attraction between the two on the red carpet.
They were also spotted together once leaving Reynold's Boston home after partying with the actor's good friend, Sandra Bullock. Following the long night out, an eyewitness told Hollywood Life that the couple were seen kissing at a train station when Reynold took Lively to catch her 5 a.m. train.
"When Ryan took Blake to catch her train back to NYC they were making out and looked really happy together. Blake was wearing a big hat and it fell off as she made out with Ryan on the escalator at the train station," the source said. "It was really early and he was even wheeling her suitcase for her! He wanted to make sure she caught the train so he waited until she got on. They kept kissing on the platform and looked like they were a couple."
Lively dated Leonardo DiCaprio and her "Gossip Girl" co-star Penn Badgley, and Reynolds was linked to Alanis Morrisette before Johansson.
This summer, Lively starred in the film "Savages," along with John Travolta and Benicio Del Toro. She was raised in California but moved to New York City in 2007 to film the television series "Gossip Girl."
After a year of dating, she reportedly married Reynolds at the Boone Hall Plantation in South Carolina.
News of the top secret wedding was first revealed by 95.1 FM, a local radio station, who took to Twitter by saying "Hold up, there's another story that it's Ryan Reynolds and he married Blake Lively at the Cotton Docks today!"
The New York Metro confirmed the story on Sept. 11, adding that the couple married on Sunday, Sept. 9, just outside of Charleston and that Lively wore a simple white Marchesa gown. Singing at the wedding were close friends Bette Midler and Florence Welsh of Florence + The Machine.
In an upcoming issue of Allure magazine, when asked about the personal relationship she is currently in, Lively said, "Right now, I'm so peaceful. I've never been happier in my life."
She also admitted to wanting a big family, saying, "Oh, I'd love 30 [children] if I could."
