It will take some time for the story to get there, Cole (Aaron Stanford) will splinter back to the era of hair bands and leggings before season 1 comes to a close. Cole can't buck the past/future that Leland Goines (Zeljko Ivanek) warned him off, and the two will reunite at some point beyond episode 7.
"We will visit 1987 and Cole and Leland Goines will cross paths in a completely unexpected place and in a completely exciting, thrilling way. It may or may not involve a foreign country," executive producer Natalie Chaidez told Entertainment Weekly. "The history that's revealed won't just be personal. It'll be about the 12 Monkeys' ultimate agenda."

Next on 12 Monkeys, the Splinter project will have to fight a new villain from 2043 during "Atari." Unaware of the experiment's existence, scavengers from West 7 will attack the projects home base in an effort to secure one of the few sturdy buildings around.
