'The Mentalist' Season 7 Spoilers: How Will Wylie Handle Vega's Death? EP Previews Fallout & Relationship [VIDEO]
The Mentalist's Jason Wylie will have more than a little trouble coping with the death of Agent Vega.
The computer savvy agent was head over heels for his coworker and Vega's (Josie Loren) death will hit him hard. While the other members of Abbot's (Rockmond Dunbar) team have experienced terrible loss before, but Wylie (Joe Adler) will see the tragedy through fresh eyes - and it will certainly affect his normally buoyant personality.
"You're going to see everyone's reactions," executive producer Tom Szentgyorgyi told TV Line. "We wanted to create what had been Jane's situation at the start of the show, which was him struggling to deal with a death, and show the rest of the cast dealing with a similar thing. Some will deal with it well, some will deal with it not well. Wylie's certainly one of the people feeling it most keenly, and who's freshest to this experience."
Unfortunately for Wylie, he will never know how Vega truly felt about him. Loren's character gave him an open door on the relationship front during "Nothing Gold Can Stay," and the actress told TV Line that Wylie was "someone that she grew to really enjoy. It's nice because he is such a contrast to who she is, she almost needs people like Wylie in her life."
