Athletes tend to usually do well on The Amazing Race, and Olympians Aly Dudek and Steve Langton are counting on history to be on their side during the show's 26th season.

Lebya & CJ Will Get Married If They Win 'The Amazing Race'

The couple, who hold a combined three bronze medals from the 2014 Sochi Olympics definitely believe that their being athletes is a huge advantage for them, both due to physical strength and the ability to navigate around the globe thanks to the large amounts of travel they've been required to do in the past.

"Between the two of us, we've traveled extensively throughout the world," Dudek said in a pre-race interview with CBS. "With my sport, we travel eight, nine, times a year to Asia, Europe, North America, all over, so just the travel experience that we have is going to be our advantage."

Kurt More Nervous About Meeting His Blind Date Than The Race

"We're physically fit, we have a lot of tools...I like to think we're smart," Langton added. "We have the tools that could help us win this race."

However, even though they could quickly become front-runners, the athletes both know that there is another way to help get ahead during the Amazing Race.

"I think it's going to be important to align with other teams and create good relationships with them," Dudek said. "And hopefully they can help us and we can return the favor."

The fact that the season is devoted to dating couples and is focusing on their relationships is also something the couple looks forward to, because competing is giving them a chance to work together at something.

"We're both very strong personalities, and obviously we've done a lot of competing individually," Langton said. "And this is really the first opportunity that Aly and I have to be in it together. So watch out."

The Amazing Race premieres Weds. Feb. 25 at 9:30 p.m. on CBS.
