One Direction And The Wanted Continue Feud
It looks like the feud between rival boy bands One Direction and The Wanted isn't going away anytime soon.
The Wanted recently appeared on a talk show on British radio station Radio 1, and DJ Chris Moyles claimed The Wanted would be more popular if One Direction didn't exist. That led band member Tom Parker to respond, and what he said seemed like a criticism of One Direction.
"Our new single 'I Found You' is a bit different. We like to mix it up. We try not to be stereotypical," Parker said.
The comment apparently made a blip on One Direction's radar. After hearing the interview, One Direction member Harry Styles took to Twitter to address Parker's remark.
"Chris Moyles' is actually right though... If 1D aren't in the picture, The Wanted would've been WAY more popular!" Styles tweeted.
Multiple sources reported on the tweet, but it has since been deleted from Styles' Twitter account.
The battle of the boy bands also spilled into newspaper pages when Max George of The Wanted told The Sun that One Direction haven't been competitive with The Wanted on the music charts in America.
"Our song is No. 4 in the charts. Maybe when [One Direction] have a song next to us in the charts over there, they'll be competition," he said.
