'Grammy Awards' 2015' Performances: Pharrell Williams Debuts New Hat & 'Happy' Rendition [VIDEO & Details]
Pharrell's Grammy's performance certainly made fans Happy, and gave the singer a new hat to boot.
The R&B artist hit the stage at the Staples Center on Sunday night to debut a new rendition of his 2013 hit. Dressed in a bellhop's hat with flashy gold sneakers, the singer got off to a shaky start before launching into the new rendition. Any changes aside, Pharrell's latest performance still had the infectiously catchy rhythm.
"We don't really understand the overall premise of Pharrell's #GRAMMYs performance, but we know it makes us happy!" E! Online said.
At the very least Pharrell knew how to continue his hat trend in style—his Smokey the Bear hat took a break while the performer grabbed his new headgear from the lobby of the Plaza Hotel, or, as many viewers pointed out, perhaps from the set of a recent Oscar nom.
"Why didn't y'all tell me Pharrell was also in Grand Budapest Hotel?" Zap2It's Rick Porter asked.
