Depending on one's relationship status, there are plenty of tech options to show that special someone how much you care on Valentine's Day.

The size and price tag of the gift will likely reflect the maturity of the relationship. On Monday Business Insider broke down appropriate gift suggestions from new couples to steady marriages.

While a flashy new piece of tech might not be the right call for a blossoming relationship, it does make the perfect gift for an engaged couple or even newlyweds.

Surprising New Vacation Getaway

For a recently engaged couple, Business Insider recommends a pair of wireless headphones, which run anywhere for $30 to $100.

A smartwatch could also make for a classy gift, particularly for the engaged or even newlyweds. Android Authority listed a number of smartwatches on Monday as part of their gift suggestions, including The Moto 360 and LG G Watch R. More substantial than headphones, the watches are also more expensive and can run anywhere for $200 to $300.

For those who have been married for a while, Business Insider recommends a tablet as a great gift option. It can be personalized to fit the receiver, yet general enough to please almost anyone.

The iPad Mini is listed at around $250, while the iPad is listed at $369. The Nvidia Shield Tablet from Android is about the same with a $299 price tag.

Even if your loved one already has some of these things, it might just be time for an upgrade to a newer model if they've been toting around the same watch or tablet for quite a while.
