"Here's the cool thing about it, the writing; they've done a really good job of distinguishing between the characters," Hartley shared.

"And also, they've done a really good job of-throughout the storyline I think you know exactly who knows what and who doesn't know and their characters have been very-written really well as far as like with regard to how they speak to Gabriel or Adam," he further explained.

Jack Abbott, who is played by Peter Bergman, knows what's going on. Sage Warner (Kelly Sullivan) does too.

Hartley also mentioned the "warm feeling" he had when he took a meeting about coming onto the soap.

"It's sort of like a high," he shared, adding, "I got that feeling after that meeting."

He loves working on The Young and the Restless, saying, "It truly is an amazing job and an amazing group of people."
