Bay's secret is about to come out on Switched at Birth when her moms hold an intervention for her.
Chatter On Bay's Giant Sacrifice For Daphne On 'Switched At Birth'
On Tuesday, a sneak peek of the next episode was released where Bay is with Kathryn and Regina, and she asks them why they're having a "mom ambush."
Both of the moms make it clear that they don't want to ambush her, they just want to see how she's doing. Kathryn makes hot cocoa for everyone to lighten up the mood, but that probably won't be enough to drown out the drama.
'Switched At Birth' Will Focus On 'The Question Of Consent' Amid Bay's Sexual Assault
Both Kathryn and Regina are trying really hard to make the situation not so serious with fake smiles so they bring up happier subjects. Regina mentions that Bay got her ankle monitor off, which is a plus, but the freedom led Bay into staying out all night at a party.
The scene gradually becomes more serious since Kathryn points out that Bay didn't call anyone to say that she would be out all night. Bay did explain this, but Kathryn and Regina know that their daughter has been drinking.
It sounds like there's going to be a lecture coming up, but as it turns out, it appears that Bay's moms are actually going to try to be there for her since her night of drinking ended with having non-consensual sex. Regina gives the impression that she knows this happened to Bay, but the scene ends before the conversation does.
Watch the scene below.
Switched at Birth airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
