'NCIS: LA' Season 6 Spoilers: Densi To Prompt 'A Lot Of Mistakes', Eric Christian Olsen Talks Deeks/Kensi Relationship [VIDEO]
NCIS: Los Angeles' Deeks and Kensi's relationship will be the "catalyst for a lot of mistakes" as season 6 continues.
The LAPD detective and the NCIS agent are walking a fine line in their high stakes world. Their love for each other may make the partners more in sync than ever, but it could also make their job even more dangerous than it was before.
"Everybody's kind of waiting to see if our work is jeopardized by the success of the relationship," Eric Christian Olsen (Deeks) told TV Guide. "Now you have two characters that are obviously meant to be together, together under the most dynamic and terrifying of circumstances. When things go wrong, is it going to be the fault of that relationship?"
Major Sam & Callen Action Coming On 'NCIS: LA', What New Danger Is In Store For Episode 17?
It's already happened once - back in season 5 when Deeks failed to take a shot because Kensi (Daniela Ruah) was overly close to the line of fire - and although the pair moved past that incident, there is not guarantee it won't happen again.
"We make decisions based on what's in the best interest of the country or the mission, and everything kind of flies out the window when you become so emotionally invested in your partner," Olsen said, according to TV Guide. "Now [Deeks] has this realization that [Kensi] is the most important person in the world to him. And I think it's going to be the catalyst for a lot of mistakes."
