In a recent interview, executive producer Marc Guggenheim teased the developments in the upcoming episode of Arrow's third season.

Speaking about episode 14 to TVLine, Guggenheim stated that it would be a "love letter" to the show. But he also added that it would stand as something of an ode for fans of the series, rewinding to season one of the series, it wouldn't be any lesser for new audiences. The episode will also feature many "fun moments" which were only made possible by having past the 50 episode mark for the CW show.

"Episode 14 is a bit of a "love letter" to the show. It stands on its own feet, for people who are new to the show, but if you've been watching since Season 1, it's got a tonof Easter eggs and little inside jokes," he said. "There's a lot of really fun moments that are the kind of things you can only do if you've done over 50 episodes - you get to go back and explore your roots a little bit, so you'll want to watch this episode carefully. My hope is that if people watch the show now but haven't seen Season 1, they'll want to go back and Netflix it afterwards."

In the latest episode of the show, fans got to see a bunch of twists, including Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) finally take on the suit of the Atom. Routh looked striking in the blue and red attire. TVLine also reported that there might be an Arrow spin-off in the works, adding that the creative team has a "very general idea" right now.

The president of the CW network spoke about the possibility of that, to the publication.

"Could there be another hour in that [DC Comics] universe? Possibly," Pedowitz said. "As long as there's no audience fatigue."

Uprising released on January 28 at 8 p.m. E.T. on the CW.
