Valentine's Day 2015 is coming up very quickly and for couples who want to get into the romantic mood but don't want to go out, Netflix has plenty of options.

Netflix Movies & Shows Premiering In February

Netflix has a wide variety or romantic-themed movies in their Watch Instantly collection, including classics like Breakfast at Tiffany's and His Girl Friday to modern romantic comedies like Punch-Drunk Love and Amelie. However, these five selections are classics that will very likely please couples or romantic singles on Valentine's Day:

Dirty Dancing (1987)

Netflix BBC Series Continuing In February Include 'Doctor Who,' 'Luther' & More, See What's Being Removed

This '80s classic is beloved by many generations. Dirty Dancing tells the tale of Frances "Baby" Houseman (Jennifer Grey), a woman spending summer vacation with her family at a camp, where she falls in love with the dance instructor, Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze). Popularized through the catchphrase "Nobody puts baby in the corner" and the iconic I've Had the Time of My Life song, Dirty Dancing is certainly a crowd-pleaser.

Ghost (1990)

Similar to Dirty Dancing, Ghost has become a beloved romantic movie in the decades after its release. Again starring Swayze, this film centers on a man who is killed in a mugging but is able to stay on earth as a ghost. Molly (Demi Moore) is the man's girlfriend and their chemistry onscreen makes this a great choice for Valentine's Day. The pottery scene set to Unchained Melody is reason enough to select this movie.

Silver Linings Playbook (2012)

For those opting for a more modern romantic comedy, Silver Linings Playbook is a good one to pick. Starring some of America's hottest stars, watch Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence fall in love in this movie that also approaches mental illness in a poignant way. Lawrence's performance was so acclaimed that she won the Academy Award for this movie at the age of 22. This movie should also appeal more to men than other selections on this list.

Sleepless in Seattle (1993)

The romantic comedy staple for many years, it's hard to go wrong with Sleepless in Seattle as a Valentine's Day choice. Tom Hanks stars as a recent widow who agrees to find a new soulmate upon his son's urging. Meg Ryan plays his eventual new love interest as the pair meet at the top of the Empire State Building on Valentine's Day.

Titanic (1997)

For many, there is no other choice on Valentine's Day than Titanic. The epic, tragic romance of Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Rose (Kate Winslet) has captivated billions around the world since its release. While the movie may end in inevitable tragedy, the love shared between the doomed lovers is one for the ages and sure to get viewers in the romantic spirit.

All of these movies and more are currently available on Netflix streaming. If none of these movies interest you, head to the "Romance" section on the Netflix website where you'll likely find the perfect selection.
