K. Michelle, former co-star of VH1's Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, has been pointed out as a factor (and maybe even the blame) of a celebrity couple not working out.

Toya Wright, who is currently married to K. Michelle's ex-boyfriend producer Mickey "Memphitz" Wright, revealed that K. Michelle's very public claims that Memphitz physically abused her caused a riff in their relationship.

Toya confirmed rumors that she and Memphitz are officially separated. She said that he has not been himself for the past few months, but a major change in him sparked when he sued K. Michelle and Viacom following her statements on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta that he beat her.

"It really took a toll on him and caused him to be a different person. So I think that, going through all of those things, an shaving all of that stress and the world looking at you one way as a 'woman beater' and a person that steals someone's money. It's hard for you to get back into your industry when you had a career and not [just] a job and somebody defames your character."

She added that they have attempted couples counseling but often got caught up in the hoopla as a celebrity couple. Wright, who is the mother of rapper Lil Wayne's oldest child Reginae, said that she would get upset when he used social media to lash out.

"I'm just praying for him and praying for our situation. I'm a person that is all about love and our family and I don't like to give up."
