Shirin, 31, is on the white collar tribe for Survivor: Worlds Apart, which splits the contestants up by socioeconomic status, white collar, blue collar and "no collar." As a Yahoo executive, Shirin is a creative person who is a big super-fan of Survivor and it shows in her CBS bio.
She compares herself to two-time winner Sandra Diaz-Twine, "a sassy brown woman who doesn't take crap from anybody," in addition to one of the smartest players to ever compete, Rob Cesternino, who she describes as a "witty, sharp, know-it-all Survivor nerd who keeps tabs on everybody."

Her personal claim to fame is creating the Google Calendar, which has turned into the no. 1 online calendar in the world, allowing her to take care of her mother, financially.
Shirin thinks that people might underestimate her in the game, though she thinks she will excel in the show's survival aspect.
"I'm intelligent and creative enough to outsmart the challenges. I love to eat everything (bugs, slimy sea creatures) and would be great at scavenging protein-rich food," she says. "I bounce back quickly from mistakes/losses. People underestimate me and won't see me as a threat."
The executive is very into the show, saying that she practices "voting people out" in her real life and manages to "succeed."
She adds, "I'm a fighter and risk-taker. I'm super smart, observant, and don't let my emotions govern my actions at work, let alone in games. I have no qualms with using people or their secrets to get ahead."
Survivor: Worlds Apart is set to debut on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
