Glee actress Dot-Marie Jones recently spoke about how the next episode is "unbelievable" and why she could not help but cry after filming it.

Jones' character Coach Beiste will be returning in the next episode of Glee, titled Transitioning, and it will be a big one. Beiste is returning after her gender reassignment surgery, now going by Sheldon instead of Shannon.

"This episode, this Friday, is unbelievable," Jones told Access Hollywood Live on Wednesday. "Over 200 trans men and women who were in it were just so proud to be represented."

The episode features Unique (Alex Newell) returning with a transgender choir to help welcome Beiste into their community. They will be singing I Know Where I've Been, a very emotional song from Hairspray.

"I cried the whole way home driving home from work that night. It was one of the proudest moments [of my life]," Jones admitted.

The actress also admitted that she was quite nervous to be getting into this storyline, which has received some controversy over the past few weeks.

"At first I was nervous because the last four years I've been the underdog for the big girls and the tomboys, you know - just the big girls who are tomboys and they're straight, and I don't want to feel like I'm letting them down," Jones said. "But then I read the whole script and I was in tears and it was like, OK, now I have a whole other demographic that I don't wanna let down. And I want to do them justice. That's all I ever want to do."

Ultimately, she said that the next episode will have the underlying message that at the end of the day, "we're all the same" and that "everybody has a heart."

Glee airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
