Season 3 of House of Cards was accidentally leaked on Netflix ahead of its release date.

The first ten episodes of the season were made available online two weeks before the official premiere date. But the leak lasted for only 25 minutes, which didn't give any lucky viewers enough time to watch enough of the show.

Telegraph got a statement from a Netflix representative stating: "Due to a technical glitch some Underwood fans got a sneak peak."

"He'll be back on Netflix on Feb 27. #no spoilers," he also added that Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey).

The Twitter account of House of Cards:

"This is Washington. There's always a leak. All 13 episodes will launch February 27," he tweeted.

Showrunner Beau Willimon also had a funny take on the leak, as he asked who was accountable for the leak via Reddit: "is it us or North Korea."

In other show-related news, a recent interview, Kevin Spacey spoke to The National about how he wasn't expecting to win the Goldne Globe this time, and although, he very graciously dodged questions about season 3 and what spoilers fans can expect, he did seem to hint at a fourth season for the show.

"I can tell you that I hope you'll enjoy it very much when you tune in," he said, when asked about the next chapter of the show.

The third season is set to premiere on February 27, 2015. Recently, it was revealed that Remmy (Mahershala Ali) will be getting a new job in the next chapter of the show.

Underwood will not only be signing up for fresh challenges as president but foreign affairs would be a prime focus for him. In a recent interview, Polish filmmaker Agnieszka Holland, who will be directing as episode in season 3, stated that Frank might also be dealing with the Russians.
