Her friends, including Marc Jacobs and Paris Hilton, stuck their fingers through a hole in the installation and touched her as she "slept," The New York Daily News reported.
She laid in the bottle while wearing a sparkly top, black skirt and red wig. While she was inside, she kept herself busy by putting on some makeup and playing some jams on her iPad; she was also joined by four others, according to the Associated Press.
The outrageous pop star emerged at 9:45 p.m. when assistants stripped her down to lingerie including a thong and thigh highs, according to The New York Daily News.
Gaga went back inside the bottle with a tattoo artist who inked a cherub on the back of her neck while the attendees watched on a big-screen TV.
Earlier this week, Gaga shaved the back of her head to honor her friend Terry Richardson whose mother died of cancer.
The event was a black-tie masquerade with many celebrity guests including Yoko Ono, Michael Strahan, Jason Wu and Lindsay Lohan, who arrived late for the event.
According to The New York Daily News, Mother Monster thought long and hard about whom should be invited to her big launch party.
"She personally decided who got the nod for invitations and who couldn't come," an insider said. Although the songstress has been busy with her "Born This Way" tour and a new album, "she's really hard-working and took this upon herself," the source said. The insider added that the party "is important to her."
