Fans of the Harry Bosch series of book by Michael Connelly will be pleased to see that the series' title character has his own TV show now. Amazon has released the first season of Bosch, which stars Titus Welliver as the titular character, an LA homicide detective who "pursues justice at all costs."
Connelly readers don't have to worry as he is a producer on the show. The author spoke with Variety about the new series this week, hyping up the Harry Bosch character as someone who makes mistakes but is relentless when it comes to solving his cases.

"Harry Bosch perseveres," Connelly said. "Harry Bosch is relentless. In this story, he makes mistakes all the time, but it's that saying that if you fall down five times you get up six. Harry just keeps going... You might not agree with his personality and he might make all kinds of mistakes but if you knew somebody who was a victim of a homicide there'd be no other cop you'd want on the case."
Bosch won't be entirely procedural considering all 10 episodes are available all at once, so there is the ability to tell a serialized story without worrying about if the viewer will be able to keep track of everything.
"In my mind, designing a book and designing this season was like holding a slingshot," Connelly said. "Pull it back slowly, have the patience of the reader or the viewer and then you let the slingshot go."
Bosch season 1 is currently available to stream on Amazon Instant Video as of Friday.
