The less fans know about those last few episodes of Mad Men, the happier creator Matthew Weiner will be when they air on AMC the spring.

"I am a person who believes you should know nothing," teased Weiner when he sat down with The Hollywood Reporter on Feb. 9 to talk about the end of his ad agency drama (featured below).

Weiner finished editing the final episode of Mad Men in October. In almost a decade, the editing of the finale proved to be the writer's most "emotional" time on the series. He is, however, happy with the finished product.

"[It] ended the way we wanted to end it," he insisted, thankful for the opportunity to tell the story the way he had intended for as long as he had intended.

So how will Weiner watch the finale? Does he have any special plans to close out the end of a remarkable era?

"For the last episode, I mean, we'll try to be together," he admitted with the hope that he will get the chance to reunite with his cast and crew. "I think there's some kind of plan to make it so that we're together."

The cast has maintained that they are pleased with the way the show will end this year, even if Weiner knows some fans won't be thrilled with the conclusion.

Mad Men will return on HBO for the remainder of its seventh and final season on Sunday, April 5 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
