Yesterday, The Voice dropped this message via their Twitterfeed:
In the video, McAndrew gave the history behind the box tattoo and shared fantastic news—since his season of the show concluded, he's signed to Republic Records.
He returned to The Voice set to have his former coach draw the check mark to go within the box tattoo.
"This is the man responsible for this check here," McAndrew said of Levine while pointing to the box tattoo on his arm.
"I'm terrible at this!" Levine claimed as he drew a bunch of check marks on a piece of paper so McAndrew could bring it with him to Studio City to get one of them tattooed into the box.
"My goal in my life was to get signed to a record label and when I was 19 this was the first tattoo I got; an empty box, and I was going to get a check mark in it if I got signed to a label," he explained to the tattoo artist.
During McAndrew's time on The Voice, where he placed second, Levine said he'd help check off the box.
