'Banshee' Season 3 Spoilers: Has The Series Been Renewed For A Fourth Year? [VIDEO]
Banshee is currently on its third season, but is there going to be more chaos to look forward to in the future?
Are More Surprises Coming From Chayton On 'Banshee?'
That answer is yes! The Cinemax series will indeed be renewed for a fourth season as announced by Entertainment Weekly on Thursday. There wasn't much revealed on what would be taking place as far as storyline, however, the new season is expected to begin in 2016.
There are also supposed to be eight episodes in the fourth year and filming will resume in Pittsburgh. Returning cast members have yet to be confirmed.
'Banshee' Stars Dish On Sex Scenes
In a previous interview with EnStars, series showrunner Greg Yaitanes mentioned that his ideas for the show's future will "probably blow everybody away." He also made it clear that fans do not want to miss a single episode of the current season.
"The tease of season three is really not to miss an episode because you'll be like, 'Oh my what what what?'" Yaitanes said. "If you were to, like, about every couple weeks, think that things aren't going to happen...you are so wrong."
The showrunner also dished on how hard everyone works on the series, but it's worth it to please the audience.
"There's not a day that's going to be, 'Oh, we got an easy day today.' And that really comes out of respect for the fans," Yaitanes said. "We grow over 100 percent in DVR and viewing. That means half of our audience is watching it live and half are watching later. So the people that are watching live, I feel I owe them a great night in entertainment, they're giving me their Friday night."
Banshee airs on Fridays at 10 p.m. ET on Cinemax.
