'The Mindy Project' News: BJ Novak Dishes On What He Really Thinks About Co-Star Mindy Kaling [VIDEO]
During a talk about his new children's book The Book With No Pictures, actor BJ Novak said that he has undying support and admiration for Mindy Kaling.

On Thursday, Bustle reported that his talk turned to Kaling when an audience member asked what it's like to be her friend.
"It's really fun to be her BFF," Novak said.
Apparently your phone gets pretty busy when you're friends with Kaling.
"It is a fantastic relationship with a lot of shorthand. I feel so lucky that I get a brilliant text from Mindy Kaling, like, once an hour. It's like something you'd win at an auction - Mindy Kaling will blow up your phone!"
When it comes to working with her, however, Novak has a different opinion.
"It's really fun to be her BFF, it is less fun to work with her. Mindy knows exactly what she wants, which makes her a great artist, but it is less ideal to get what you want."
Kaling clearly takes the reins on things at work.
"If they [at The Mindy Project] needed help I would come in and write or run the room. If I had an idea I would come in and pitch it, but there was never any question of who was in charge. This was Mindy's show," he said.
When asked whether the on and off-screen couple would marry in real life, his response was a simple, "I don't know."
