Valentine's Day just happened over the weekend and some of the guys of 5 Seconds of Summer felt the need to spread the love.

Ashton Irwin and Michael Clifford took to Twitter to share their Valentine's Day spirit Saturday.

Irwin's approach was rather amusing as he rattled off a list of potential love interests.

"Hey! It's Valentine's Day, celebrate the love, wether it be a man, woman, cat, dog, or even pet donkey," he dished.

Clifford just wished all of his followers "Happy valentines day".

He even divulged his own Valentine's Day plans, which included watching Netflix and eating fast food.

The band as a whole had a lot to be joyous over on Sunday when their joint Twitter account reached and then surpassed six million followers.

"Can't believe we hit 6m followers on this account. that's a s---load of awesome people," they gushed.

They even reminisced about having way fewer followers. Once upon a time they only had 10,000.

Sunday was also their day off after writing and recording a lot with the likes of Sum 41's Deryck Whibley, which Clifford was amped about.

The band's day off meant relaxation and some quality time with a pool toy named Henry.
