'Switched At Birth' Season 4 Premiere Chatter

On Tuesday, Broadway World released a synopsis on the episode that will air on March 10. While Emmett is working on a class project in Los Angeles, Bay decides to surprise him. This may or may not go well, but other characters on the series are going to be facing some difficulties as well.

Daphne is not pleased with her school performance putting her in a tough spot on feeling like she's let her family down. Meanwhile, Eric reacts to a buyout offer on the coffee shop making Regina a bit perplexed.

Kathryn and Toby on the other hand will have the chance for their musical to be produced.

The ABC Family drama took on one of the most controversial storylines the series has ever faced with Bay's campus assault. Series creator Lizzy Weiss recently explained to Flavorwire why the writers decided to have this storyline come with a complicated answer on who was at fault for the situation. Considering that there was a lot more going on, this created more of a grey area.

"First of all, the more straightforward situations have already been covered a lot on TV, and I wasn't sure we had much new to add to that story," Weiss explained. "What we were reading about and hearing about were situations that were much more confusing to all parties involved about what really transpired."

Switched at Birth airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
