Joss Whedon Teases Hawkeye's 'Dark' Moment In 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron'
Hawkeye storyline will continue to have a tinge of darkness to it in The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Much to the dismay of fans, the archer spent much of 2012's Avengers under Loki's spell. While his ice-blue eyes are gone, Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) will have a shadow over him for at least part of the Avengers' next outing.
"We got to do some interesting stuff with Hawkeye which is a different kind of dark," writer/director Joss Whedon said, according to Digital Spy (the article has since been removed, quote via MStars). "It's been fun for Jeremy [Renner] because he was possessed for so long last time - it's interesting to not be a zombie!"
CinemaBlend believes Scarlet Witch's powers will make Earth's Mightiest Heroes to relive their pasts, and it looks like Hawkeye won't be exempt. Trailers have provided a glimpse of WWII Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and a dancing flashback for Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johannson), but it is unclear what memory could effect Barton.
