Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder has revealed the first image of Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and fans are very pleased.

Snyder tweeted out a photo on Friday featuring Momoa wielding Aquaman's Trident of Neptune and giving a menacing look to the camera. Superimposed on the photo is the phrase "UNITE THE SEVEN," which could apply to the number of Justice League members or the Seven Seas.
Snyder's message alongside the photo is simple, "There is only one true King," adding the hashtag "#unitetheseven."

As of Friday morning, the photo has already been retweeted over 16,000 times and favorited over 12,000 times. This number is expected to grow as eager DC fans view the latest image from the highly anticipated film. Twitter users seem to be mostly united in their praise of Momoa's look as Aquaman.

With fan reaction the way it is, it seems that Snyder and company were smart in releasing this image just as buzz for Batman v Superman has died down a bit. Fans are eagerly awaiting a teaser trailer for the film, which is still over a year away from being released in theaters.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on March 25, 2016.
