HBO Might Be Making Major Changes To 'True Detective' This Season
There have been rumors regarding delays in production, which have led some to fear that the show's second season won't even be released until 2016.
Many viewers estimate that the popular crime drama will at the very least make it to a third season, though there's no way to tell for sure what will happen beyond that.
This year, the series will star Vince Vaughn (career criminal Frank Semyon), Colin Farrell (Detective Ray Velcoro), Rachel McAdams (Detective Ani Bezzerides) and Taylor Kitsch (Officer Paul Woodrugh).
Penned by creator Nic Pizzolatto, the installment will follow the murder of a corrupt city manager in California. Fast and Furious alum Justin Lin directed the premiere, which has not received an air date at this time.
True Detective will return on HBO for a second season mid-2015.
