She might be one of the most controversial reality television stars on the small screen right now, but it looks like Abby Lee Miller has some sound advice for those who want to break into the entertainment world. The Dance Moms star gave ten of her best times in a new interview, where she makes a lot of valid points that can be applied to both in business and on the dance floor.

According to Inc.com on Friday, Miller emphasized the importance of following through on your contract. She said, "When you make a promise, then move heaven and earth to follow through on it--even if it means taking a loss. The trust of your customers or the members of your team is something not easily replaced once it's gone."

And as far as becoming a star "overnight" Miller says there's no such thing. Instead, she says it sometimes takes more than a decade of hard work to finally get noticed.

Miller explained, "Be patient as you rise up the ranks in your organization. Learn everything you can, and become an expert at your job--and as many other jobs as you possibly can. You'll be the first to be picked out the crowd when new opportunities arise in your organization."

The Dance Moms star also adds that when the going gets tough, it's best to save those tears for a pillow.

"It's important not to let your emotions get the best of you," Miller said, adding, "Because when you do you leave yourself vulnerable to others who might want to take advantage of you.
