Though the 2015 Oscars have mainly been full of light-hearted humor and moments of fun, tears were still brought into the night after Tim McGraw took the stage to sing Glen Campbell's I'm Not Gonna Miss You.

McGraw sang the song, featured in the documentary Glen Campbell, I'll Be Me, in place of the singer, who is currently in a Nashville facility as he fights deteriorating health conditions from Alzheimer's disease. McGraw is performing the moving tribute song in his place.

The film chronicles the country singer's farewell tour before his health caused him to leave the spotlight, and the song was written by his family in his honor.

The song is one of the nominees for Best Original Song. It will face off against Lost Stars from Begin Again, Grateful from Beyond The Lights, Glory from Selma, and Everything Is Awesome from The Lego Movie.
