Author Craig Johnson, who wrote the Longmire novel series on which the popular crime program is based, will be attending the Tucson Festival of Books on March 15 and on Sunday the Arizona Daily Star announced that he won't be alone.

Taylor (Walt Longmire) and Phillips (Henry Standing Bear) are scheduled to join the author for a discussion and signing. Both actors have a long history with Johnson. Phillips wrote the foreword to Johnson's 2014 novel, Wait for Signs. He even stepped in to deliver a college graduation speech for Johnson when the author was unable to make it to the event.

While the Longmire books have thrived over the years, the television series hit a bump in the road last fall when it was cancelled by A&E following its third season. Fans flocked to defend the show, starting petitions and online campaigns to keep the program alive.

Despite overwhelming support, the series lingered in limbo for months before Netflix stepped in near the end of November and announced that it would be reviving the show.

The Tucson festival panel, entitled Longmire and Me, will take place on March 15 at the Student Union Ballroom at 11:30 a.m.

Longmire will likely return for a fourth season on Netflix during the later half of 2015.
