Melissa Rivers On Joan's Snub: Comedian's Daughter Speaks Out On Her Mother Not Being Honored In Oscars Memoriam, 'It Would Have Been Nice' [VIDEO]
After fans were left outraged over the Academy not including Joan Rivers' name in the Memoriam at the Oscars, the late comedian's daughter has spoken out.

On Tuesday, ABC News posted the details from Melissa Rivers who mentioned on Facebook that she would have been appreciative if her mother had been part of the tribute to the artists who died in the past year.
"It would have been nice, especially considering the impact she had on the awards season," the statement reads.

Despite this, Melissa and her son are not going to let it get to them.
"But Cooper and I have been so overwhelmed with support and love over my mom's passing and we choose to focus on that," she wrote.
Not too long after Joan's snub on Sunday evening, the Academy released a statement with the fact that she wasn't included.
"Joan Rivers is among the many worthy artists and filmmakers we were unfortunately unable to feature in the In Memorium segment of the year's Oscar show. She is, however, included in our Memorium gallery on Oscar.com."
Some other big names who were honored in the Oscar tribute to late artists included Robin Williams, Mickey Rooney and Lauren Bacall.
Joan Rivers died on September 4, 2014 at the age of 81. She was a comedian where she got her own show in 1989 The Joan Rivers Show.
