'Longmire' Season 4 News: Why Netflix Needs To Set Up A Twitter Account For Popular Crime Drama [VIDEO]
While the stars of Longmire remain vocal and active on Twitter, Netflix just might want to consider setting up an account for the series itself this month.
Will Netflix Release The Entire 4th Season On 'Longmire' On One Day?
The series has a major Twitter presence already and was even trending during the "Twitter Stampedes" designed by fans back when the show was facing permanent cancellation. Many of the stars, including Lou Diamond Phillips (Henry) and Katee Sackhoff (Victoria), utilize the social media site. There are even a few informal accounts designed to discuss the crime drama.
So what's holding Netflix back? Would the show benefit from some kind of official news outlet?

Fans would quickly embrace an official Twitter feed, taking in each and every last detail offered up about the show's upcoming episodes. Even with the program's overwhelming popularity, some behind-the-scenes photos or teaser from production next month could definitely go a long way in prepping viewers for the new season.
Longmire faced uncertainty in 2014 when A&E elected to drop the series following its third season. Fans flocked to defend the show, starting petitions and online campaigns to keep their favorite series alive. The campaigning worked and in November Netflix announced that it would be reviving the program.
Production is set to begin in March, though it's uncertain as to when viewers can expect the first promotional trailer.
Longmire will likely return for a fourth season on Netflix during the later half of 2015.
