Aaron Hernandez Murder Case 2015: New Footage Could Place NFL Player At Scene Of The Crime During Odin Lloyd’s Murder [VIDEO]
New surveillance footage captured at a local gas station shows former NFL football player Aaron Hernandez dancing just hours before Odin Lloyd was murdered.
Officials Find Shell Casings That Could Tie Aaron Hernandez To The Murder Of Odin Lloyd
Prosecutors believe that the video shows the former Patriots Player buying gum inside of the gas station, the same gum detectives said they found attached to a shell casing.
On Thursday, TMZ Sports reported that Hernandez was seen on camera around 2 a.m. on June 17, 2013, about an hour and half before officials says Lloyd was murdered.
New Evidence Emerges In The Aaron Hernandez Murder Trail
According to the site, prosecutors believe the video plays a key role in the timeline, connecting Hernandez with the rented vehicle that Lloyd got into a short time later. That same vehicle was identified as the car seen driving into the industrial park.
Earlier this month, ESPN reported that officers found a shell casing and blue bubble gum that they think will prove the ex New England Patriots player was present at the scene.
Detective Michael Elliot told the courts that he discovered several items left behind in the rented Nissan Altima. Police retrieved a shell casing that was covered in blue gum.
Based on their evidence, the prosecutors have concluded that, Hernandez and his two friends Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace, picked Lloyd up at his home in Boston, drove him to the industrial park, and shot him to death.
The murder weapon has yet to be found, and it is believed that Hernandez's fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins, disposed of the weapon. Surveillance footage shows Jenkins taking out a huge black bag after she received what prosecutors believe to be a coded text message from Hernandez.
Jenkins told the court that she doesn't remember where she disposed the big bag, but prosecutors are hoping to use her testimony to prove that Hernandez was involved in the murder of his friend Lloyd.
Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to the murder charges, and he currently remains in jail without bail.
