Many of the nicknames have begun with "Mc," but surprisingly his favorite nickname for his character doesn't include the "Mc".

On Feb. 24, Murray revealed to a fan on Twitter his favorite McGee nickname is the one in reference to Obi-Wan Kenobi.

DiNozzo called McGee, "Probie Wan Kenobi" in season 5 twice, during episode 13, Dog Tags, as well as episode 17, About Face.

On Sunday, another fan tweeted the actor a list of many of the nicknames DiNozzo has called McGee and asked, "how do you feel about all of the nicknames?"

Murray revealed to the fan that Weatherly isn't the mastermind behind all the nicknames.

"[G]ive the writers some credit," he dished.

Previously on Twitter, Murray shared many of the nicknames are in fact scripted.

Murray even revealed that "Probie Wan Kenobi" was "made up by one of our sound crew."

NCIS airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

A new episode will air on Mar. 10.
