Justified aired its latest episode The Hunt Tuesday night, which led to Ava Crowder (Joelle Carter) admitting to Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) that she's Raylan Givens' (Timothy Olyphant) informant.

TV Guide reported Tuesday night after the episode aired what Goggins had to say about his character's reaction to Ava's confession.

Considering Boyd killed Dewey Crowe (Damon Herriman) in the beginning of this final season it seemed as though Ava would be the next to go for crossing him, but Boyd spared her life since he's blinded by his feelings for her.

'Justified' Star Walton Goggins Talks Boyd's 'Undoing'

Limehouse (Mykelti Williamson) initially tipped Boyd off in the previous episode about Ava's ties to Raylan, which left him "floored."

"He was taken by utter surprise," Goggins dished, adding, "What he's setting out to do is process his emotions privately while ascertaining as much information as he possibly can. He's privately reviewing the specific details of their relationship."

"One of the greatest lines I feel Boyd has ever had-as an indication of who he is as a person-is when he says to Ava, 'Have I ever done anything to hurt you? Have I ever mistreated you in any way?' He just wanted to hear the answer to that question. He's just barely holding on. He's in such a painful place that he is barely able to contain his own emotions. It's psychological warfare, really. He is going through it and is not sparing her his own pain," Goggins explained of where Boyd stands at the moment.

"It's a very complicated, emotional dance, and that's exactly what we wanted it to be," Goggins further dished about Boyd and Ava's current situation.

Boyd in the episode initially asked Ava if she were sleeping with Raylan, which just shows how much more hurt he'd be if that were the case as opposed to her just being a rat.

"It's so crazy," Goggins shared of his character's initial reaction to Ava's big reveal.

Goggins also mentioned that if it comes down to his character killing Ava, he doesn't think Boyd would be able to just do that.

"I think he would kill Ava and kill himself if anything because there is nothing else that life has to offer that he wants or would have the capability of believing in again if he doesn't believe in this," he shared.

Justified is airing now on FX at 10 p.m. ET on Tuesdays.
