The "Started from the Bottom" rapper recently pulled a Beyoncé and released a 17 song mixtape titled If You're Reading This It's Too Late. The release has since gone on to break a number of records and that was before the Canadian was about to gone on tour to promote it...or was he? It seems that something fraudulent is going on.

On Thursday, TMZ reported that a promoter has been selling tickets to fans for concerts in eight cities that were apparently part of s a scam.

According to the site, the swindler (or swindlers) has been advertising shows without the rapper's permission.

What's more, Drizzy Drake is not performing at any venues this spring and the reps for the rapper are urging fans to call the police if they were suckered into buying tickets for the sham shows.

The rapper recently took to Twitter asking his fans what songs they were interested in hearing during his New Zealand and Australia tour dates, but the scam for upcoming events are fake.

The scammer has been peddling "tickets" for "shows" from Miami to Houston, with tickets prices starting at $350 dollars.

Apparently the rapper is fuming after learning about fans falling for the false tickets, but has yet to comment on the story. So be sure to check in as the reports unravel.

Luckily there is a bit of good news for fans: more music on the way. Back in July it was confirmed that Drake is working on his 6th studio album entitled, Views From The 6.

While the rapper has yet to confirm a release date, the new album is believed to be due later this year.
