'The Originals' Season 2 Spoilers: Mikael Back For Good To Torment His Children? [VIDEO]
It looks like Mikael might just be back to stay when The Originals returns on The CW this Monday.
Find Out Why Klaus Will Be Raising 'Hell' On The Originals
Creator Julie Plec confirmed that Mikael (Sebastian Roche) will be back this week as the Mikaelson's lethal patriarch.
Mikael has spent the last few episodes as nothing more than a power source for Finn's (Yusuf Gatewood) magic, but it looks like all of that is about to change.
On Wednesday the program's official Twitter account featured a new cast photo which included Mikael at one end of the table with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) on the other.
The original cast photo for season 2 (featured above) didn't include Mikael. So does this mean Roche is preparing to become a series regular? Or will the second half of the season just be Mikael-heavy in preparation for a permanent exit? As the only Mikaelson to have returned from the dead in his original body, producers might by keen on keeping the actor around for a while.
The Originals will return on The CW for the remainder of its second season Monday, March 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
