CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory” will be returning on Thursday night for its sixth season. However, to the dismay of many fans, unideal spoilers concerning Leonard’s love life have hit the web recently.

TV Guide reported that Leonard will finally get over his ex-flame Penny and begin dating a new character, played by former “Bent” standout Margo Hashman in the new season.

Hashman will initially start the sitcom as Sheldon’s assistant, but eventually become Leonard’s love interest. The two will start dating each other, but will face their share of relationship drama.

Unsure on whether or not she can trust Leonard’s new main squeeze, Amy coerces Penny into going on a spy mission. Actress Mayim Bialik (Amy) confirmed those details to the site.

“There’s a really funny Amy and Penny spying episode where we get to do a lot of physical comedy together, and that was really fun,” she said.

Although several viewers think that Penny and Leonard are meant to be, the writers seemingly feel as though it is not their time yet. However, the former flames have often ended up back in each others’ arms, so it is still a strong possibility.

Amy will have trouble in her own relationship with Sheldon. The Hollywood Reporter stated that while out on a romantic date, she abruptly tells him, “You and I are done.”

After blasting off in the season five finale, Howard will still be in orbit around Earth at the start of the episode. However, Simon Helberg (Howard) did tell TV Guide that the trip will likely not go as planned:

“I don’t know if he’s going to be that well-adjusted when we come back. From what I hear, he gets a little bullied by the veteran spacemen, from his wife and from his mother. I think he even gets it from Earth.”

“The Big Bang Theory” season premiere will be airing on CBS at 8 p.m. ET on Sept. 27.
