It looks as though Derick Dillard has taken a page straight out of the Duggar handbook and is staring at controversy right in the eye. Jill Duggar's husband has made no comment or shown any remorse for a clip he shared on his Instagram account where he almost runs into a cat in the snow on a homemade sled.

According to his social media accounts, he has completed dismissed his critics and their comments even though he is being blasted for potentially wanting to hurt a cat.

Dillard posted a clip of him sledding on a small baking sheet while supposedly trying to run over a cat in the snow. He captioned the video with, "Sledding with friends and family at the Duggar home :-) #smallestsled."

The 25-year-old father-to-be got slammed by his critics almost immediately with some commenting, "You are disgusting," along with, "You claim to be Christian and you go and hurt one of God's creatures, I don't understand how you could be so hypocritical."

If that weren't enough, another Instagram follower wrote, "Interesting you call yourself a Godly person, but yet purposely try to hurt one of Gods creatures. What a complete jerk!"

Even with all the comments, there were a few that seemed to defend the reality television star as one fan wrote, "Oh my gosh people.. It wasn't intentional, I'm sure they expected the cat to move, since it is a cat. People need to relax and stop being so judgmental."

Dillard and Duggar are expecting their first child together later this month.
