'Scandal' Season 2 Premiere Preview & Spoiler: Air Date Sept. 27 [TRAILER]
Here's what to expect in season two of the ABC hit "Scandal."
According to TV Guide, in the season two opener, Quinn's true identity is revealed to the team and we also find out that Olivia knew all along. Meanwhile, Mellie and Cyrus make a live television interview "awkward" for President Fitz.
TV Equals reported that additionally, there will be a "powerful scene" between Olivia and Quinn.
Stephen, (played by Henry Ian Cusick, is not returning (which was announced in June) and we only find out what happens to him through a one-liner from Olivia, the site reported. They also noted that though Fitz and Olivia have vowed to keep a distance from one another, they do meet up in the premiere episode.
The premiere will also guest star Jimmy Kimmel and will run for two hours instead of one. It was announced in June that actress Bellamy Young had been added as a full-time cast member, so expect to see much more of First Lady Mellie Grant this season.
Young had television roles in shows such as "Criminal Minds," "Scrubs," "Dirty Sexy Money" and "CSI: Miami." She has also appeared in the big screen, in films such as "Mission Impossible III" and "We Were Soldiers."
"Scandal" season two premieres on Sept. 27 at 10 p.m. Eastern Time. The episode is called "White Hat's Off."
The show is about a former White House communications director who opens a Washington, D.C. -based crisis-management film, and gets somewhat involves in the scandals herself.
The drama is based on the real work of crisis manager Judy Smith, who has worked with Monica Lewinsky and Justice Clarence Thomas, according to TV Guide. Kerry Washington plays the lead female role, Olivia Pope.
