‘Zoolander’ Movie Sequel: Anticipated Follow-Up To Ben Stiller & Owen Wilson Comedy Announced At Paris Fashion Week, Watch Hilarious VIDEO & See Behind-The Scenes PHOTO
Fans of Zoolander can finally smile about the sequel they've been waiting for-Zoolander 2 is officially happening!
Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, the film's stars, officially made the announcement in the coolest way possible, by crashing the Maison Valentino runway show at Paris Fashion Week on March 9, with both actors walking down the runway as their characters, Derek Zoolander and Hansel. And naturally, they stole the show in true Zoolander and Hansel style.
According to the Fashion House's Instagram page, the two formerly retired models were dressed to kill in some very exclusive fashions, with Derek in a "custom Night Butterflies brocade suit with hand-embroidered overcoat and black Creeper shoes," while Hansel sported a "Silk Continent print Pajama suit with Double Cashmere overcoat and Open sneakers."
Stiller also posted a photo on his own Instagram page which seemed to confirm the news of the sequel, as both he and Wilson (still in character) posed for a really, really, ridiculously good looking selfie.
"Apparently Derek and Hansel have come to terms on #Zoolander2," he captioned the photo.
And while their appearance on the runway should have been confirmation enough that the sequel was happening, Paramount pictures also confirmed the news by tweeting about the appearance-and gave fans an extra treat by announcing the film's scheduled release date early next year.
"So hot right now: Derek & Hansel blaze down the @MaisonValentino runway, #Zoolander2 announced. Coming Feb. 12, 2016," they wrote.
