Singer Angie Stone has recently been released from the DeKalb County police station after striking her 30-year-old daughter in the face and knocking her front teeth out.

The Wish I Didn't Miss You singer has been charged with domestic aggravated assault after her daughter, Diamond Stone, reported that her mother punched her in the face after a heated argument.

On Tuesday, TMZ reported 53-year-old Angie told the police that her daughter punched her in the face and then she proceeded to defend herself with a metal stand and accidently struck Diamond in the face.

According to the site, Angie said that after realizing the mistake, she put down the stand and tried to get away from Diamond but she claims her daughter continued to come after her as if to strike her again.

Family friend, Ms. Blondy Chisolm, was at the scene to break up the fight and to separate the two women from each other.

Diamond told the police the fight started after her mother entered her bedroom and told her to clean up and look after her children, who were running around the home half-naked. The heated argument then escalated and the two ladies got physical with one another.

Angie's daughter was also taken to the DeKalb County police station, however she was eventually released without being charged.

The three-time Grammy nominee was booked for aggravated assault but on Wednesday morning. It was reported that she has since been released from jail.
