Having not been seen for several episodes, Allison Janney and Beau Bridges are now set to return to Masters of Sex for season 3.

Will Libby Come Back With A Completely Different Persona?

On Thursday, Fashion & Style reported that since Janney has found time to return to the show, Bridges will be returning in his role as Barton as well.

Margaret and Barton Scully were last seen together in the season 2 premiere when they were dealing with the fact that Barton was gay, which was practically taboo in the 60s when the show is set.

Bridges spent a lot of time on the set of The Millers but that time has freed up now that the show is no longer on-air.

But Janney has an undecided amount of time on the show as she is also starring in the CBS sitcom Mom.

Episode number for either have not been declared yet, but Michelle Ashford reportedly told E! News that she was happy they were back, at least for a little while.

"I will say you will see both of them back for sure ... They're now in our world and, as much as they can, given their other commitments, they are going to stay in our world because we just realized what they bring is so rich." Ashford stated.

Since Janney has limited time to commit to the show, the producers are going to try to make her story extra good for viewers.

"Can Allison be in every episode? That'd be tough. But can she have a great story? Yeah!" said Ashford.

The real-life Masters and Johnson released their first major research paper, "Human Sexual Response" in 1966, catapulting them into the spotlight. Ashford recently confirmed that the release of this paper would emerge during season 3. This has led fans to believe that there will, indeed, be another time jump at the beginning of the season.

In addition, Ashford spoke of how the '60s as a generation would influence the show as well as the cast:

"There are a couple things that just have to be there for the 1960s," she said. "You have to get into the issues of race. There's no way the Vietnam War doesn't raise its head in some form and the women's movement and things like rock and roll."

Masters of Sex season 3 premieres on Showtime in the summer of 2015. Fans can catch up with seasons 1 and 2 airing on Showtime OnDemand.
