A new report reveals that Cheryl Ladd, best known for her role as Kris Munroe in the Charlie's Angels TV series, will be guest starring in season 3 of Ray Donovan.

Liev Schreiber Talks Ray's 'Illegal' Activities At Golden Globes After Party

Variety broke the news about the actress's involvment in the show, revealing that she would be starring in tone episode of the show. She will play the part of Tina Harvey, a game show hostess. Perhaps Ray (Liev Schreiber) will be tasked with taking care of dirty business for the diva in this episode.

The major, and most talked about, cast addition to the show has been Katie Holmes. Recently, new behind-the-scenes stills featuring Holmes and Schreiber filming for season 3 of Ray Donovan were revealed.

Season 3 of Ray Donovan to Run Through 12 Episodes

The Daily Mail revealed the images stating that Holmes was looking downcast on set. The publication had previously also posted the first pics of the actress on set. But in this batch she is spotted for the first time with the star of the show, Schreiber, who plays the titular character.

The report also revealed that Holmes will be playing the part of Paige, "wealthy and shrewd businesswoman who uses the 'fixer' services provided" by Ray Donovan (Liev Schreiber). Paige will be the daughter of another new character, Andrew, who is a moneyed Hollywood producer. Ian McShane will play the role of Andrew.

In a recent interview Showtime president David Nevins spoke about what fans can expect from the next season of Ray Donovan.

While talking about switching writers for the show, Nevins told Collider that it was the need of the hour and that they were lookig to make some interesting changes in the story line. One dramatic change would be the fact that the next chapter might not focus on the Donovan family anymore, infact Nevins revealed that it might be about another "complicated family."

"We're going to get a little bit beyond the Donovan family. There's a season-long arc involving a complicated family, but it's not his family this time," he said. "And they have a great story involving real estate and a certain sport that doesn't have a franchise in Los Angeles, and all the machinations that are going on behind the scenes are really good."

The season 2 finale of Ray Donovan aired on Sunday, September 27 at 8 pm ET/PT on Showtime.
