It looks as though LeAnn Rimes has left the sunshine and her family behind for the British capital of London. The former chart topper has been spending the past week in London recording new tracks with a team of producers including her good friend and songwriter Darrell Brown.

Rimes apparently made the trip without her husband Eddie Cibrian, who is currently back at home filming new episodes for the television show Baby Daddy. She has been sharing pics of her London stay on her Instagram account along with one of her recording music in a studio with her team. She captioned the photo with, "Studio #writing @jakegosling @darrellbrownmusic #LeInLondon ・・・

It is unknown why Rimes traveled to London to record her new work, other than she might be using the city for inspiration for her new music.

Meanwhile, the country star has stayed uncharacteristically quiet after her ex-husband Dean Sheremet claimed that Rimes divorcing him was the "dumbest" thing she has ever done for her career.

Rimes, who usually likes to dispel rumors on her social networking accounts, has made no mention of her ex-husband, who recently dished about their divorce and how she made a horrible decision to leave him for her current husband, Eddie Cibrian.

In an interview with Nat's Next Adventure, Sheremet said that he never felt like he lived in Rimes' shadow, although he does admit that she would have been better off if she didn't cheat on him with Cibrian back in 2009.

He said, "It felt like we were a team. As it went on, the team became toxic. But when we were working together, we were brilliant. The dumbest thing she ever did for her career was divorce me. Because we were such a good team. The last hit song she had was when she was with me. It was 'Nothing Better to Do'. I had that title in my head and was kicking it around for a bit. We got our friend Darrell Brown, who is a phenomenal writer, to write it with us and we wrote the whole album."
