'Reign' Season 2 Spoilers: Next Episode Is Going To Be 'Neat,' New Character Joins The Series [VIDEO]
It sounds like the next episode of Reign will be pretty intriguing with a new character coming aboard.
Love Triangle Chatter On 'Reign'
On Saturday, it was announced on Young Adult Hollywood that actor Vince Nappo would be making his way onto the royal drama as General Renaude in a recurring role. Nappo then took to his Twitter page on Monday to reveal that his appearance is going to be epic.
"I make my debut on Reign this Thursday #Reign! It's gonna be neat. It's truly gonna be neat," he wrote.
Queen Elizabeth Will Create A 'Catalyst Of Events' On 'Reign'
Nappo's previous credits include Friends With Kids and Killing Lincoln.
Another character who is joining the series is Queen Elizabeth who will be played by Fifty Shades of Grey actress Rachel Skarsten. And according to executive producer Laurie McCarthy, this will be a character who will add some serious emphasis towards the show.
"I'm delighted to cast Rachel Skarsten as Elizabeth, a female monarch still in her twenties, early yet in her rule," McCarthy previously told Entertainment Weekly. "She is a beautiful, cunning and brave mix of opposites: a young woman hardened too soon by life's events, but vulnerable when it comes to love. A mercenary foe riddled with compassion for her rival."
The producer also dished on how glad she is that she can finally add an iconic woman like Queen Elizabeth to the series.
"I have been dying to introduce her to our characters and our audience," McCarthy said. "Because no single character understands Mary's unique circumstances more. No character is more of a threat to her happiness and her life."
Reign airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
