With the start of production also comes an idea of when the show will be returning to the small screen. On Tuesday UPROXX announced that the popular crime drama will make its Netflix debut in the early fall and will pick up right where season three left off. Walt will be looking into his wife's murder and that major cliffhanger from last season's finale will finally be explored.
The program's third season marked its last on A&E, for the network cancelled the series shortly after the finale. For months the crime drama lingered on the verge of permanent cancellation, sparking outrage across the show's loyaln fanbase. In November, however, Netflix stepped in and picked up the program as part of its 2015 lineup.
It is uncertain at this time whether or not Netflix intends to release the whole season in one go, as it's done with other shows in the past, or release new episodes on a weekly basis. Either way, viewers are eatery for the series to bye back in full swing.
Longmire will return for a fourth season on Netflix early this fall.
